  • Access immediate help through CHSP: If you need a little bit of help right now (like cleaning, transport, or social outings), the Commonwealth Home Support Programme can provide short-term assistance while you wait for your full package.

  • Find your "Right Fit" provider: Now is the perfect time to interview providers. You want a team that feels like family, so you’re ready to hit the ground running the moment your package is assigned.

  • Start services privately: If you’d like to begin care immediately, you can choose to self-fund your services. This ensures you get the support you need today without the wait.

​

  • Accept an interim package: Sometimes the government offers a lower-level package while you wait for your approved one. We highly recommend accepting this to get your support started sooner.

  • Map out your dream support plan: Use this time to think about what would truly make life easier. Whether it’s gardening, meal prep, or allied health, we can help you plan ahead so your funding is used exactly how you want it.
